The fact that the Spurs delivered their best defensive effort of the series on their home floor and still lost by 13 points is definitely a troubling sign. The Warriors struggled from beyond the arc to open Game 3 when they made just 1-of-14 three-point shots but still hit 10-of-32 three-ball attempts and won by 13 points. And that’s really been the difference: the Warriors have three stars while the Spurs only have LaMarcus Aldridge. Draymond Green added 10 points, seven assists, six rebounds and four blocked shots. Klay Thompson added 19 points including three three-point shots in Game 3. Durant has stepped up as Golden State’s best player in the series but he hasn’t had to do it all on his own. Kevin Durant led the way once again in Game 3 with 26 points, nine rebounds and six assists. The Warriors star power has allowed them to rest Curry as he continues to prepare for another championship run. The fact that Golden State has been so dominant in this series is even more impressive when you consider they have been without two-time MVP Stephen Curry.
